Please fill out this survey.
For more inquiry, please feel free to reach out to Chaplain Maurena Leigh on WhatsApp +1(480) 205-5956
To prevent overloading your WhatsApp notifications list, this creative community will be organized through Discord (with @ch.maurenaleigh), and production stages are tentative to recur at the Forest Chapel.

Please remember to fill out this survey, and consider being a producer even if you currently do not reside in the area.
Producers are mainly essential for a read-through to decide the layout of the show and make a decision on which sketches make the cut. to essentially share with the group what is feasible in stage design, choreography, reaching an audience, etc. You welcome to be a producer, along with playing other roles in the group, or otherwise act as a producer in one deparment of production.

Putting together an episode of Saturday Night Live involves a six day work week involving the host, cast, writers, and producers. The week begins at 9:00am Monday with a sketch pitch meeting and ends at 1:02am Saturday Night with the live production. This sketch comedy group is meant to work together to design a unique schedule for those involved. We can take from some groups to consider the process of inspiration and energy of generating comedy (in a group). Though we may consider our own local base, as well as personal availability... to begin planning through this survey.

«…different awarenesses in the current era!»
«cool….. very cool… and, what of the great divide… what of that? target audience? et al…»
There are a few options, off the bat… in terms of language mergence.
It could have a mix of sketches, with an equal amount in each language.
It could all be in one language, with subtitles.
It could be reenacted in different languages, with the same or different actors,

It will likely morph depending on the the cast and crew.
I find language learning as a very intimate and potent space for creativity that could lead inspiration for comedy naturally upon this intention for holding such container to create sketches and learn languages together.
A beautiful weave of an episode…
3 areas to consider of language, one is Spanglish or españglish ~
There could be a sketch with characters such as you and David speaking in English, then a sketch or transition with Spanglish (perhaps upon an encounter with a spanish speaking character), that then transitions into a sketch with a Spanish speaking character, and then weaving back into English, then Spanish in such a way, while revealing a natural weaving of worlds that occurs in this area.
Upon this weave there is either an obvious similar challenge or theme among all the characters despite their language, while there are subtitles for all. Like ironically everybody is dealing with heartbreak or grief or the same set back that is only noticed by the audience.
It could be very loose with language, simple and relatable terms, short and sweet dialogue. It is all about pacing, while also revealing typical human interactions here. Generally the language in screenplay is meant to be of quips anyway, as the goal is to show more in gestures and interactions and less with words. It is all a way for skills-building in writing, language learning, and collaboration, alongside skills in media production (to be a space for locals to build skills — in fun) and theater arts!
